COMMENTARY MAY-JUNE 2003
THERE is no lack of comment on the global power structure obtaining at
the end of the second Gulf War, in which Saddam Hussein was vanquished,
and his country overrun by a joint coalition of the American and British
military. A surprising number of clear-minded souls have quickly seen
the dangers to the world order of an American super-power ready to bomb
into submission any independent entity or consortium which sought to
challenge the authority or the legitimacy of the Pax Americana.
International law has been prejudiced to the point of ridicule. The
humiliated United Nations Authority has learned the truth of the saying
that Might is Right, and all things in between are negotiable -- on
America terms. It is like a return to the days of Imperial Rome, with
the victor demanding tribute to pay for the cost of his conquests. A
well-schooled and subservient media will portray things to be otherwise,
but broadly that is the prevailing geo-political reality at the
beginning of the twentyfirst century, and blissfully there are skilled
analysts ready to chart the situation as it develops. It will not be
permitted to creep up on humanity unawares.
But regrettably there has been a lack of linkage to the real problem
that confronts a troubled world, namely the enormous growth, lack of
control and criminal irresponsibility of the American financial system,
which has reduced parts of the Third World to beggary and starvation,
and, if not checked, could conceivably lead us into Armageddon in
pursuit of its own debt-laden objectives.
It will in the coming months be a purpose of jamesgibbstuart.com to
provide that essential linkage. In the meantime read SATANOMICS.
It's relevant.
